World Environment Day is celebrated globally on 5th June every year to raise awareness and encourage action for the protection of our environment. In observance of this important day, Shreekara World Foundation organized a Tree Plantation and Environmental Awareness Drive under its commitment towards sustainable development and environmental conservation. The program aimed to inspire the people in environmental protection and promote the importance of tree plantation for a greener and healthier future.

OBJECTIVES

ABOUT SIMAROUBA GLAUCA

As part of the plantation drive, Simarouba glauca, commonly known as the Paradise Tree, was planted and distributed among participants. 

The plant is known for its various medicinal and environmental benefits,including:

• Rich in medicinal properties and antioxidants.
• Traditionally used in herbal remedies.
• Supports environmental restoration and biodiversity.
• Helps improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions.
