Celebration of 150 years of “VANDE MATARAM”

Under the initiative of Shreekara World Foundation, a grand cultural programme was organised at 155 No. Cinnamara Primary School to commemorate 150 years of the historic national song 'Vande Mataram'.More than 400 students, teachers, weavers, volunteers and community members participated in this meaningful event organised with collective enthusiasm.PROJECT OBJECTIVEThe primary objective of this initiative was to commemorate 150 years of the national song “Vande Mataram” while fostering patriotism, cultural pride, national unity and moral values among students and the local community through collective participation. The event reflected Shreekara World Foundation’s commitment to inclusive education, cultural preservation and community engagement.PROJECT DESCRIPTIONMrs. Kavita Gogoi Borgohain from 155 No. Cinnamara Primary school warmly welcomed the officials of Shreekara World Foundation, volunteers, weavers, students, parents and audience. She briefly introduced the activities of Shreekara World Foundation. The Shreekara officials and the Headmaster of the school Mr. Pranjal Bora were felicitated by the teachers. The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Pranjal Bora, was also present in the function. The Shreekara World Foundation proudly marked a new milestone with the grand inauguration of its Jorhat office on 20th April 2025 at Chekonidhora, Jorhat. The opening ceremony was a momentous occasion, attended by distinguished guests including respected professors from CKB Commerce College and Jorhat Engineering College, whose presence added immense value and inspiration to the event. As part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to empowering the next generation, scholarships were awarded to deserving children, recognizing and supporting their educational aspirations. It was a heartwarming moment that captured the true spirit of the foundation’s mission — nurturing dreams and creating opportunities for young minds.Adding to the significance of the day, a special exhibition was organized showcasing the Saksham Project, one of Shreekara World Foundation’s flagship initiatives aimed at promoting education, skill development, and community empowerment. The exhibition drew a lot of attention and appreciation from the guests and attendees, reflecting the impact of the foundation’s work on the ground.The entire event was meticulously organized in coordination with Director Hrishikesh Baruah, Zonal Officer Akashi Bhuyan, and Dr. Abhijit Bhuyan, whose combined efforts ensured the smooth execution and success of the ceremony. Their dedication and teamwork truly reflected the core values of the foundation.Director and Chairperson Papori Palkar and Sheetal Palkar, although unable to attend physically, joined the celebration virtually through Zoom. They extended their warm greetings, shared their vision for the future of the foundation, and congratulated the team for their tireless efforts in bringing Shreekara’s mission closer to the people of Jorhat.
